No one has suggested my favorite brand so I will, the CZ 550 American, or even the CZ 550 Full Stock model. The rifles in general are very accurate, have Turkish Walnut stocks, have a single set trigger for that target work you talk about, if in the CZ 550 American come with the CZ rings, and in my opinion are nicely finished rifles. They do tend to be a tad more heavy than other rifles, but they also tend to be generally more accurate than many of the other production rifles. They can be bought for around $500. Well, there's my recommendation. Tom Purdom
