dove season is open! what the hell have i been thinking? got me a new dog, a new double 28, and license in pocket. after dinner tonight, me and the boy are going for a walk. dog is a bit too young.

Myronman, saw quite a few of the darting devils while I was out and about today. Might go for a walk myself tomorrow.

Forgot all about that but then Douglas Co does not have the habbitat for good hunting for doves. Oh yea we got them up here but shooting one would be more of opportunity shot while hunting some thing else. Good luck with the doves guys.

Heck guys, in a few weeks crow will be open as well.

Lots of opportunities then. Crows, doves then geese and ducks will be added to the mix. Great time to be out for a walk with a shotgun and some steel. Oh, and don't forget pheasant. I've taken pheasant with steel while looking for a low flying and lost goose.

Double check your regs for seasons and bag limits...
