I have a chance to pick up a used 7x30 van horn rifle barrel for my contender for 200.00. Is this a good price?

To me that seems to be on the upper end of the cost of a used Contender barrel but it is a Van Horn barrel. I have several barrels made by Dave and they are all exceptional barrels. I will have him build me several more barrels over the next few years. I use OTT and Dave for my barrels now. I like the custom touch of the animal  etched on the top of the barrel. When I asked Dave about this he said it was acid etched. Did I mention I like his barrels?

If it looked good, I'd have no trouble giving $200 for one.  A new one will cost about half again more and you'd have to wait several weeks or more for it.

I strongly recommend you put me in contact with the seller...I'll take care of your temptation.....;}

really though, great barrels- I have a 24 inch 17 rem, a 14 inch 17 HMR and a 22 inch 223 all are sub MOA barrels.
