Which .375 bullet is best?

Well it's done! :grin:
Is it the 200gr Sierra
or the 220gr Hornady,
or the 250gr Handi?

Hope this help everyone see  and help them decide which bullet is best for them.  me, I'm still wondering between the 200 and 220, I like the 250 Handi overall, but then I'm partial.

i use the hornady & sierra bullets in my 375 win.. the hornady shoot best in it but not by much

The Hornady 220 grain Flat Point shoots well from my Marlin 375. So well, in fact, I haven't seen the need to try any others. I don't know that makes it the "best," but it remains my choice. I did try the 200 grain Sierra and the 230 grain Speer spitzer in my Contender. The Hornady worked best there.

Well the range has decided for me.  The 250 Hornady's I made have grouped the best, so they will be my hunting loads as well.  First 3 shots in the 1.5" bull at 50yds and Point Blank software tells me they are only .96" low at 100 and 4" low at 150.  So I have a point blank load to 150yds and nearly 1800 ft lbs energy left at that distance.

Anything in the lower 48 would succomb to that load.

Handirifle,

I am impressed with your web link and your work!  I have a .375 Big Bore also, and haven't had much luck finding a heavy bullet.  At first I "modified" a Hornady 270gr RN with a hammer.  That was fine, but no cannelure and they were too long.  

Your idea is great.  I would love to know your load, though.  I am currently working with RL-7 and its fine, but I have heard that AA1680 is better yet.  What are your thoughts?

Has anyone ever used the Hawk bullets?     They have several flat point bullets ranging from 180, 200, 250, 270, and 300 grs.  with varying jacket thickness.
