this is a set of tusks i got about 12 monts ago with .54 tryon  the load was 1203f wano and a 412 grn mini bullet .he was well over 500 lbs the tusks measure 9-1/2 inchs round the outside  the scored 30-3/8 points
the 45-70 cartridge is to give comparison of the size.

Hey..............thats one big hog.  What specie do you have down there.  Kinda wondering if they are a variation of the Russian that went feral at some point.  I have the same rifle...shoots grat and a hard hitter..........stay safe.King..........and./good shooting

king the hogs down under differ according to which state they are in, here in the west they are mainly domestic's gone wild when the state was first settled up the north of australia they are cauld captain cookers they have a lot of timor and indonesian blood in them up the north of queensland they have a pig they call the basalt worriers they are the meanest pigs in australia.not that big but a lot of attitude they  run about 240 250 lbs  for big one's but the average is about 180lbs. a friends son goes pig hunting with a knife and dogs he got one that was 600lbs dressed out that was a big pig he has a pic of him hanging on to the back legs with the dogs on the ears he is quit mad lol not really i used to do the same when i was his age  getting to old fore that  these days getting to slow. keep safe
