Kool!! There's even a 30 day overlap for the accessory barrel discount....Buy a new rifle, get $20 back....send the frame in for another barrel or 3 and get $20 off on each of them......Hmmm????

Thanks for the heads up!!

About two weeks ago I purchased a 223 Handi to put back for Christmas for my son-in-law.  A couple days ago I went to my Local Walmart and was going to order another for my son for Christmas.  The line at the lawaway was long and I waited for a while but give up and was going to try it another time when the line wasn't so long.

This site just saved me $20.00 because I am sure I wouldn't have known about the rebate without reading about it here.

I just contacted H&R's customer svc via e-mail and they are sending me a accessory barrel discount form in the mail.  I think I might add a 25-06 or 7mm-08 barrel to my Ultra Varmint 223...

Hello, Fred,

I don't think they're desperate, though I could be wrong.

I think they're looking at the competition they endured last year with Weatherby Vanguards at Wal Mart for $250, Model 700 ADL's for $379 at Gander Mountain, etc.etc.etc.   I think they're getting a jump on a situation where the economy is not that good, (not really) and they know they can make more money in the long run by doing so.    They may also need money for the lawyers that have to defend them from the "loons" that insist on these ridiculous law suits.

Just my two cents,
