Release lever
« on: September 04, 2005, 02:13:17 PM »
How high should the release lever come up whit a proper fit barrel?  Does it make any difference?  I have one barrel that it comes up with some play at the top and one that has almost no play at the top.  Both barrels lock up tight and have about the same amount of latch engagement.  If there is no play at the top does it keep the latch from fully engaging?  Larry

If you check the release position when there is no barrel in the frame, it should give you an idea of the difference. None of my release buttons are loose with no barrel installed. They're all loose when a barrel is mounted. Clean, then smoke the latch shelf to check latch engagement, it should be approx 1/8".
