They are supposed to be offering the 7600 in a "coyote" version as well. the source did not say what calibers they would be offering, just that it would be "the ultimate coyote gun".

760 Nut,
I am wondering where you saw the announcement for the new 7600. I lookde at the link above and couldn't find anything. If they are offering a new caliber something in 22-250 would be awesome. But I wouldn't be surprised if they would do some messing around with the new 223 police rifle.

Did I miss the CDL..??  All I saw was the BDL  ( which did not have the white trim in the forearm cap and the buttplate as it has in the past)...and the synthetic SPS....Seems like Remington is making instant "classics" every few years by discontinuing models.....maybe that was just new stuff for 06, and not the entire line...

257 Robt,

No official announcement yet. A fellow engineer friend of mine works at Remington in there development department.

Also, 2 magazines ran articles about the 7600 in the past month or two. In one of the articles Remington's marketing executive gave mention of the 7600 being produced in varmint calibers in the future.

 :-)

Thanks for the info 760. It sure would be nice to see some different calibers in the 7600's.
