I ordered a Timney trigger spring kit on weds, from MidSouth, and got it yesterday. Talk about great service, but high shipping.

Anyway, I ordered it for my browning stainless stalker. The stalker has an easy trigger to adjust but you can't get it down under 3.5 - 4 #'s. But the Timney spring was a piece of cake to put in, probably took 10 min. I put the lite spring in and what a difference.

I was surprised that it seemed to make a difference in poi when I was shooting from where my grouping was previously

I seriously boubt the spring kit altered your POI but removing the stock to install the parts may well have altered the bedding enough to do it. I've not used the Timney kit for this purpose. Thanks for the info!

Gunnut, I figured maybe I changed the finger pressure I was putting on the trigger with the lighter weight spring. I shoot right handed and the grouping moved an inch or so to the left. The bedding is just a piece of sponge plastic stuff. Nothing like I would think of "bedding". But it seems to work well.

Say, just to double check, the front screw is supposed to be a little tighter than the rear screw on the stock right?

That's the accepted practice. As always there are exceptions. Were you shooting from a solid rest, bags, etc.? I'd still bet the rifle settled into the stock a bit differently.. If shooting without a rest the trigger may well Be the cause..
