Hicks Accurizer

I did a search for this but I didn't come up with anything so maybe I'm not beating a dead horse with this question.

Has anyone used or seen used a Hicks accurizer for a Ruger #1?  I guess what I was wondering is if they will work as advertised and are they worth the price and effort to install one.  Thanks in advance.

If you haven't found anything yet, you might want to try http://www.eabco.com and look at all their Number 1 stuff.

I have been contemplating one also. I have a ruger#1 in 25-06 that I believe would benifit greatly with one of these I read an article in shooting times about how to install one and can do it with no problem at my work place.  Brenells cataloge lists one for around 60 dollars just would like some ones elses's opinion on if these items work if not I will be trying it anyway its on my christmas list.

I did one on my #1 .45-70.  Plan to do one for my #1V .223 and hope to be doing one for a #1V .25-06 sometime down the road.  Have been told by "trusted" souces that it does work and if you look at all the chatter out there about tuning the #1, among other things, it always comes back to tuning the barrel.
