Ft McHenry's place in history is with the War of 1812 and the Francis Scott Key's poem  Star Spangled Banner.  During the Civil War Ft. McHenry was a Civil war fort. The fort has a a battery of Rodman guns on display. There are 8 inch and  15 smoothbores and 8 inch rifled guns.

Those look like the real deal (even with the concrete plugs).

There are Rodmans at Fort Clinch (Fernandina Beach, FL) but they are fakes put there recently.

Great job DD, it was much more pleasant seeing the nice picture of your wife rather than a powder can.  Hey, perhaps you have started a new precedent for futures.  Thanks for the great pictures and for your wife's pose.  Blaster

Let me echo that sentiment.  DD's wife is NOT to be confused with a can of powder - I know - I've met here and she's a right-much fine woman!

The precedence has been set - Darlene (my rib) is in one of the pictures of the Hillsville Gun Show and Flea Market 2005.  Next time I'll have her face the camera!

And MY wife is the red-head!

I guess I do like playing with matches, too!
