270 Low velocity rounds enough for deer?

Ive been loading some 270 Win lower velocity for my 15 inch T/C Encore, and was wondering if they would be enough for whitetails out to 100 yards.

Here is one of the loads Im considering:

130g  sierra game king, at about 2000 fps

That velocity is too low for reliable game bullet expansion on deer.  Some handgun hunter friends tried that bullet weight with very mixed results.  Instead, use varmint bullets from 90 - 110 grains at 2400-2600 fps.  These will expand due to their light construction yet still yield low recoil and report.  Lyman lists safe, tested .270 handgun data all the way down to 2317 fps with the 100-grain bullet, and lots of loads in the 2400-2600 range.
