Yes they are interchangeable. You can use any barrel designed for the encore , wether it be pistol, rifle, shotgun, or muzzel loader with the same frame. That is why they are the best thing going. :D

To echo the above coment, as long as the forends match, you are in business, and can hunt anything on this continent.  I was thinking of the 300 Mag as well. post your thoughts if you wouldn't mind. Good luck
