bear bait/hunt help
« on: October 01, 2005, 08:25:42 AM »
i am crossposting this from the bear hunting forum.

you ever use predator calls to get your bear? im getting desperate...lol. with the huge acorn drop this year it has stopped and slowed most baits to a near standstill in my area.

i have only had my baits hit about 7 times since season opened on sept 7th.

ive been hunting my butt off and varying the baits im hunting over so i dont over hunt one bait. my season expires oct 11th.....so i need to do something

i read this. is this accurate or just a sales tool for selling calls?

Check this link out and scrol down until you find Procoon,it's been used as a bear lure with good results. http://home.rconnect.com/~trapper/
Also,in the past I know guys that have used this with good results.Or this Hawbakers raccoon bait. http://www.minntrapprod.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=207_84&products_id=474
We must all hang together,or assuredly we will all hang seperately.
