Finally went and picked up new(used) handcannon

Got it for $383 out the door as shown w/scope.  Virginian Dragoon Silhouette 44mag.

For it not being a big name company production, this pistol is really nice.

..now,  just gotta wait for the whistlepigs to come back out of the ground.

I gotta get the hang of this forums image attachment procedures...

I've yet to shoot it due to weather and work.  I'm off tomorrow though, so I'll be making a trip out to the sportsmans club range.

This revolver is nice and tight for being 20 years old. No rattle or shake whatsoever.  Tight cylinder lockup too in both cocked and "dropped" hammer positions.

Trigger pull is crisp and clean at 3.5lb.  No creap or slack at all.  This has to be one of the better buys I've made since my Python.  The only thing I'll be doing to it is maybe some polish work on the barrel and clean up a couple really small scratches on the frame.

Time to get a set of dies and supplies.

Not sure..   the only marking on whats left of it is "401".

It appears to have been worked over with a grinder on the bottom side to fit over my rear target style sight.

After look around the web..  it appears to be a Weaver.

Looks like this one at eBay, only that mine has 5 unevenly spaced holes.
