I use a Remington 1100 20 ga Youth as my slug gun and was wondering if there is any way to lighten the trigger on it. The trigger on it is really bad and heavy and I believe with a lighter trigger it will shoot slugs really well. Thanks for any information.

You can find trigger spring kits for Remington shotguns on EBay or Gunbroker. I bought one for my 870 and reduced the pull to about 5 lbs. I measured it with a Lyman trigger pull gauge.

They cost around 6-8 dollars.

Thanks 506th. Did you get yours from aceautions4u on eBay? And was it really easy to put in like they say on the auction and is it holding up pretty good? If that's the one you are talking about I will give it a try and see how it works out. I really like deer hunting with the little 20 but that trigger pull is something else. Thanks again.

That is the one. Very easy to install. I have had one on my 870 for over a year with no problems. I also upgraded the spring on my 7600 (different spring) with great success.

They will lighten up the weight but it still won't get rid of the creep.
