Anyone use the twilight apertures from Williams?
« on: September 13, 2005, 05:32:01 PM »
Just ordered a WGRS sight and fiber optic front post for my handi.  Was wondering if the twilight apertures work as advertised?  Also what sizes are you using if you hunt with them?  Most shots would be 100 or less yards.  Sight comes standard with the .093 regular, I believe.

Thanks for any feed back.

The twilight has a brass ring inset into the peep.  It does help a lot in low light, but it doesn't glow actually.  Can't help ya on size tho.. Can't remember which one I ordered.  I ended up giving it away because I ordered the wrong one and didn't want to bother returning it.

Since I plan on shooting target I bought a .050 twilight aperature.  I would think the .093 should have done fine for hunting but it did not frame the forward sight close enough for my taste.  The .050 almost matches the OD of the forward sight shield and the 32" barrel - I am very pleased with this one, the brass ring helps.  The .125 certainly would offer very little help in framing/alligning the aiming points IMO.  The 32 inch barrel will need a smaller rear opening than a 22 " barrel to provide the same apparent "fit" with the forward shield.
