Nikon Buckmasters vs Weaver GrandSlam
« on: September 12, 2005, 12:05:28 PM »
Which would be a better scope?  I know the LT for the Buckmasters is rated at 92%, but I'm not sure for the Weaver.  I'm looking at the 4.5-14x40AO models of each, but cannot decide.  Thanks!

Given the choice you gave, I would get the Nikon Buckmasters. The Nikon is a better quality scope in my opinion.  :D

That is tough one.  They are both a great scope, but I personally would say the Weaver Grand Slam is a ever so slightly better scope. But the Nikon Buckmaster is going to save you money and you will not tell much of a difference, so I would probably go with the Nikon.

Both are good, buy my vote goes for Nikon Buckmaster.

However, the Grand Slam is about the same price as the Monarch, so I would definately recommend the Monarch.  And Jon should know, because while I buy many scopes from the optic zone, 90% of my purchases are either Nikon Monarchs or Bushnell Elite 4200s.  Sounds about right John? :D
