Movie crew to begin filming this week in Flagstaff

The Associated Press

Flagstaff--A nearly month long movie shoot scheduled to begin here this week is expected to generate and estimate3d $250,000.00 in revenue for local hotels, restaurants and other businesses.
Beginning Thursday, Grizzly Peak Films will be shooting a feature length science fiction film about Bigfoot. The crew of about 40 is expected to remain in Flagstaff until Oct. 28.

Flagstaff Film Commissioner Khamsone Sirimanivong said the movie crew will use as many local services as possible. It`s easier to use what you have around you, she said.

Sirimanivong said the filmmaker selected Flagstaff because of its small twon Western feel. Part of the film was already shot in Vermont.

Flagstaff has the clean, pristine forest look and small twon charm that the producer wasnt able to find anywhere else, she said.
