Cast bullets in .35 Whelen - What weight?
« on: September 20, 2005, 04:30:50 AM »
I've got a .35 Whelen bbl with a 1:14" twist.  I'm thinking of getting a mold for a heavy weight bullet.

Would the 1:14" twist be sufficient for a 275grain to 300 grain bullet?

I'm thinking I'll paper patch the bullet so I can run it up to 2200 fps which should be a snap for the Whelen.
