Tomorrow I am going to send a few 45/70s over my chrony.  I have not been able to do it with my latest load.  What are your estimates of velocity

32" barrel, 300 gr Rem, 50gr RE7.  Temp in the 80s??

also, 300 gr Win factory loads are 1960 fps, box precictions are 1880 fps

I am gussing 2100

braggin rights only, no waggering :cry:

Survey says ..., nope, wrong game show

we have 2 winners, just 10 fps off - varminter and mjbgalt

I only had 3 bullets, averaged 2068.  


I guess a half grain more powder may get me up to 3000 ft-lbs of energy, and everyone knows that is the magic number to effectively pierce the tougher varieties of paper targets  :-D

Oh, and I did state that this was for braggin rights, so lets hear it you two.

I think the Chrono was defective. I heard that brand is bad about reading 56 fps high.  :-D  :D
