What is the difference between a 22 standard bull barrel and a 22 Match bull barrel?

About $20.   :)

Actually, the match barrel has a little tighter chamber and is supposedly more accurate.  It all depends on the ammo you shoot.  You can get a regular barrel to shoot well with the right ammo.  If you want to spend the $$ on the ammo, you can get the match barrel to shoot just a little bit better.

My match barrel came with sights. If you chamber a round and remove it the rifleing will be ingraved on the bullet.

I got a great deal last year on a brand new 14" match .22 LR barrel.  I have never shot a "standard" .22 LR barrel on the contender, but I can tell you this much:  The Match barrel is awesome (with even standard ammo, not match grade)!  I asked a similar question in this forum a bunch of months ago, and found the same reply that you are getting:  there are standard barrels out there that shoot just fine, and there are match barrels that shoot just fine as well.  With the proper ammo choice, I see no reason why a standard chambered barrel will not keep up with the Match barrel.
How'd you like a peek at my 14-incher? (Contender, that is)
