25.06 barrel questions.
« on: September 10, 2005, 09:07:10 PM »
What is the rate of twist on the 26" 25.06 barrel?
Which bullets have been the most accurate?
I keep debating wether or not I should keep this or sell it. I've only shot a box of winchester 90 grain bullets through it. I wasn't impressed with the results.
If i sell it, how do you all come up with a fair price for them?
I would like to sell it as a package to someone local, I have a couple of people interested just need a good price.
1- 50 cal. muzzloader barrel
1- 25.06 26" barrel with a bushnel banner 6-18
1- 454 cassal 12" barrel with a 2-7 burris scope
1 frame
Stocks
black set for pistol
walnut rifle but stock walnut forearms for the 26.06 barrel and muzzloader
barrel.
What is the sense in preserving collectible items just so they can be auctioned off by uncaring heirs for their pecuniary value ? I am inclined to believe that vintage cars are to be driven, old wine is to be drank, and fine guns are to be shot.

the twist rate on the 25-06 is 1:12....mine shoots a 100 yard group of 0.44" with 100 grain sierra's and 51 grains of H4831.
