Is there a way I can adjust the trigger pull on my model 70 300 wsm, or should I get a gunsmith to do this?

If you can look at it and see what needs to be done, and you have a bench grinder with a fine wheel, yes, you can do it yourself. If you have any doubts, take it to an expert. In order to reduce creep you need to grind the sear, and it's not reversable if you go too far.

The trigger is adjustable on the M70 without being irreverseable!! Never use a bench grinder to remove metal from the sear of any rifle.. It's way too easy to do damage to the rifle. Stones especially the newer alumina ceramic kinds work best for me. Occasionally I have used the diamnod shapeners to remove metal quickly..
