Blackpowder .45-70 loads in the BC

I would like to load a few blackpowder rounds for my .45-70, but I really don't know where to begin.  I don't have a drop tube, and I'm not sure how much I can compress the powder.  

I will be using Pyrodex RS behind a 405gr lead bullet, so any help will be appreciated.  Is it necessary to drill out the flash holes any, and how much powder should I use?

Yep JPH45. I could remember Junior but I could't remember his web address right off. By the time I remembered it I was too late again. That's how it is when you have C.R.S. like I do.  :oops:

jason280; A lot of great guys here will help you out,I myself will be picking up the BC in about 20 days and I am intersted in shooting black powder out of it.I did get some great help from the guys here on the forum.
