Penetration tests?
« on: September 22, 2005, 06:57:08 AM »
What have you guys shot with your cannons, besides paper and dirt? Blew up some water jugs about a week ago with my little cannon, have to compile some phone books next.

I like to see what some of the big bores out there can do. I've always found it interesting to shoot targets with character with my firearms, which some may call appliance hunting, so now I have to do the same with my cannon and future cannons.

Don't get me wrong there is nothing wrong, by any means, with punching paper or just firing blanks, but there is certainly many fine targets out there just waiting for the attention from my cannon. When safety is first and foremost available, of course.

The 4.5" diameter pvc pipe filled with concrete (7-1/2 lbs) will rip limbs off trees.

A 2 1/4" ball cast from zinc (weighs right at a pound and a half) will go completely through a Volkswagen when fired broadside.
