I am considering a 12" Encore .223. I have used 65gr. in my rifles and really liked what it does to a coyote. My max shot will be 100 yards, will that 65gr be to heavy a bullet for a 12" barrel?

Shoot some at gallon milk jugs filled with water and compare to the rifle load.
Should give you a basic idea what it will do on coyotes.
Set your targets up at the max range you intend to shoot.

I believe the twist rate in TC's is 1:12. That may or may not be fast enough to stabilize a 65gr bullet. You would have to try it and see. I tried a 68gr bullet once and it key holed terribly. KN

you really should consider a lighter bullet for that 12" barrel. Some thing in 40 to 50 grains should work MUCH better.

I hope to get the 12 inch .223 barrel for my Encore soon and will sound off when I have shot it.

At 100yds you really don't need anything heavier then about a 55g. If I remember correctly I can stabilize the 60g V-max and 60g SIE HP, but I cannot stablilze the 64 or 65g bullets from my Contender barrel.
The 55g V-Max and 50g V-Max will drop them with good shot placement.
You will need to use faster burning powders then are generally associated with the .223; I have found that BR2015 works great. There are some other memebers here that have had good luck with blue dot as well.

I agree with Reed. BR2015 and 50 grain bullets (I like the Winchester soft point [cheap] and Nosler BT) will be about perfect for the 12" barrel. Mine likes this recipe. :-D
