What is the longest distance shot at a match with a pistol?

SASS doesn't have mandatory distances, only guidelines. From the SASS Handbook....

"There are no absolute rules, but we suggest the following
distances, by firearm, if using a target approximately
16" X 16":
Revolver – 7 to 10 yards
Shotgun – 8 to 16 yards
Rifle – 13 to 50 yards"

A club can place any target at any distance they want. and some are famous for small, distant targets. Others have large, close ones. And a bunch of clubs just mix 'em up.

At one match, we had a 6" circle at around 70 yards as a bonus rifle target. I hit it with my rifle. But some of us just had to try it with a pistol. Dang it, I missed by just over an inch....

Perfect.  I was curious as my club only has a 25 yd.  They did some "fixin" and the 10 yd was lost.  It is my understanding that it will be coming back but, everything in due time.

Thank you for the info.
