I have a XD40, very good pistol, like it as well as my Glock 22 40.No problems at all and very accurate.

I also have an XD40 & this gun is remarkable! One of my brothers has a Glock .40 & I took my new toy over to his house & after he shot it awhile
he ordered a new XD. The XD has a much better trigger than the Glock &
that makes it much more shootable. I also like the safety features. There
have been many articles lately about these guns, one that come to mind is an article by Chuck Taylor called Battle of The Titans, a great comparison between these two remarkable handguns.

This is in no way meant to put down the Glock, as it is the World Standard
for this type of weapon, after all that is why I compared the XD with a
Glock & not some dud. No, it is just that the XD is better for me & I encourage anyone in the market for such a weapon to give it a try.

Yup, a big thumbs up for the XD.  I'm not getting to shoot mine as much as I'd like but I just finished the first 1200 rounds I bought when I bought the gun and it has yet to malfunction.  I'm definately not the one to report on ANY pistols accuracy but the XD and I work well together keeping everything in the black from 5 to 25 yds.

I was very close to purchasing a new XD in 40cal from The Buffalo Gun Center just when I noticed a used Glock 23 with Nite Sites sitting in the case marked down to $440...I jumped on the Glock because it was reasonably priced and it already came with Nite Sites...I will have an XD some day...I'll see how the popularity of the 45GAP pans out and maybe I'll make my XD one in that caliber.

I bought an XD 40 about two years ago. I have shot it a lot, and found it to be an accurate, reliable, and well made pistol. I highly recommend them.

Keep in mind that in 10 years, the 45 ACP and plenty of ammo will still be around.

The 45 GAP, on the other hand..............might not be around like the 38 Super.

I recently brought the XD 40 I find it to be an excellent shooter, I just recertified with it. I normally would shoot the Glock 17 thats what i trained with but I like the safety features and the price was right it was being introduced for 349.00 that included a holster and 3 mags. not bad  but I am looking for a concealment holster any ideas. Thanks John

I know the XD has gotten rave reviews in the gun mags, but I'm sorry guys, that has got to be about the ugliest semi-auto ever!  It's even worse than the early Ruger's before they changed them a couple of years ago.  But I guess beauty is as beauty does.  If it shoots good for you..........     I know a gun is a tool, but you do have to look at it occasionally.     44 Man

 44 Man.Yes that XD is one ugly piece of work.  Kinda reminds me of my girlfriend Lu Lu, she ain't much to look at, no teeth, hair thinning, skin rough as a gator, but boy can that gal cook, she keeps the house looking like a palace and when the lights go out...........oh well that's another story, I'll just say it keeps me close to home.

I have had  several XD's 9,40,and 45GAP. Liked them all. 40 was a little snappy on recoil. 45GAP was much better on recoil than the 40, but ammo was too expensive @14-16 dollars a box when 45acp range ammo is 8-9dollars a box.
I have kept my 9mm 4inch service model and love it. I have shot some IDPA and it will shoot faster and better than I can.
I would highly recommend the XD.
