Prayers for those who have given up
« on: February 03, 2010, 04:02:05 PM »
Please pray for those, who have given up. I know a few, who believe they haven't the strength to go on.
The world, of late, has not been kind to many people. Right now, I'm grateful to not be counted among them.

Anyone who claims Jesus Christ as their saviour is in the devils gun sights.  And we all get to be tried one way or another at least once.   An old old preacher barely able to stand behind the pulpit cried out " if you can hold onto the rope, God will pull you through".   What encouragement we get from studying the Bible.  Books like 1st Thesalonians. Good ole down to earth Gospel preaching, and old hymns right out of those old song books.  If we don't keep the fire stirred it'll surely go out.

We have a little prayer request box in our church, and once a week we have a regular attendace of those who want to come and take those names out of the box and pray for those who are lost, and backslidden, and sick.   Some get saved.  Some get healed.   They all show the great peace of God that has come over them.  Sadly, after awhile most go back into the world and we never hear from them again.
Enjoy your rights to keep and bear arms.

I been hanging on to Psalms 37 pretty tight myself for the last couple of years.
" FIREARMS STAND NEXT IN IMPORTANCE TO THE CONSTITUTION ITSELF. THEY ARE THE AMERICAN PEOPLE'S LIBERTY TEETH AND KEYSTONE UNDER INDEPENDENCE."       George Washington

“OUR CONSTITUTION WAS MADE ONLY FOR A MORAL AND RELIGIOUS PEOPLE. IT IS WHOLLY INADEQUATE TO THE GOVERNMENT OF ANY OTHER."           John Adams
