My 15 yr old son just took his first deer during the youth hunt in Michigan with the H&R Ultra Slug he got for Christmas last year.  He dropped it with a perfect shot through both lungs at 150 yards with Winchester Partitions.  It was a buck with the fourth point just starting to form.

Congratulations Mike to you and your son! Post a pic when you get a chance. 20 or 12 ga? I have the 20 and would not trade it for any other slug gun made.

Congrats to your son!  I wish my niece had been able to get in a hunters safety class in time.

There are a bunch of us Michigan fellers around here.

35 Rem.  You have a good woman there.  The daughter should turn out just fine.  Remember, there's a reason NEF makes a youth model.  LOL.

Congrats on the new addition to the family!
