I haven't actually seen one, but have been told by several people that they are excellent quality. I was also told by some people who built one that you should definitely go with the semi-fitted machined kit. They sell these as a bare castings kit, or semi machined. Even advanced machinists say it takes some very special skills and equipment to get everything properly aligned, and for a small amount more, it'a already done.
I was looking very hard at the kit when I found an original action to build up, or I'd have gone that route. You'll probably still end up around $1200-$1500 when you're done, unless you can do a lot of the work yourself, and find some cheap wood. But compared to an original, or a completed repro, that will still be a huge savings!
I'm into mine $1200, with an original action, and the rest new production.
