I have a mossberg 190 its a 16ga. I am wonder what its worth. I had a guy offer me $300 for it before he even looked at it.  I'm not looking to sell it no matter what its worth. This was my first shot gun and it will be my sons as soon as he gets big enough to handle it

As partial as I am to my bolt action shotguns, it would be hard to turn down $300 for one.  But, I understand where your coming from if the one you have has sentimental value.

I used a mod 185 .20 ga for years after my father weened me from a .410 single.  I still have that gun and am not sure I would sell if for any amount.  I've since added a 12 and 16 ga. 300 series as well as a J.C. Higgins 16 ga and a Revelation 20 ga to the collection.

Around here they are usually on either side of $100.  I have seen them as high as $150 and not just once, and as low as the $70-$80 range.  I will say that in recent months the prices seem to be inching up a bit.  Used to be any reasonable offer would get you a decent bolt action.  I'm not sure if the value is starting to rise due to the nostalgia craze or if they have been out of production long enough to start having value.  I really can't believe there will ever be a collectors market on bolt shotguns outside of sentimental or user value.

For those of us who like and still use them, they're pretty neat.

Hope this helps.
