I'll have to defer to Markus on this one...I don't know much about the older H&R shotguns...

I'm afraid I don't know too much about it either. One thing I do know is if you ever want to get rid of it I'll take it off your hands. I've been looking for one for a while. I didn't know they had flip up sights. Pos a pic if you can.Should be a fine short range deer getter. I'm assuming it is a smooth bore?

i will try to get my digital camera working to take a pic. it is a smoothbore, and has a camofluage stock. i havnt used it for deer but i had a problem. i bought a red dot for it and with that the accuracy was aesome. 1.75" for 3 shots at 50 yds. red dot busted from recoil and iron sights are very accurate up to 30 yds. but at 50 yds i cant even hit the darn target. same slugs but i dont know why it was so bad.

My suggestion is to save up some dough and pick up another red dot...You get what you pay for with red dot sites.  Mueller Optics makes a nice one and they are a sponsor at this forum...You may want to check them out.

Go to the centerfire forum and read the sticky about it. I am not set up to do it yet so I can't talk you through it. Figure it ou though because id love to see the pics. Include one of that rear sight if you can.
