Question for JJHACK

Do you see a lot of CZ rifles there in Africa? I am getting a CZ 550 in 416 Rigby. If so, what is your opinion on them.

Thanks  :D

It is extremely popular and very well made from what I have seen. I think most guys do work beyond the gun that came from the factoy box but then with a trip worth thousands of dollars they do the same with many Remington, Winchester, and Weatherby as well.

The one thing I do dislike about them is the weight. They are typically heavy buggers. Fine for a big cartridge but way too much for a more typical hunting round.

I went hunting with Jjhack last June.  As he said the CZ 550 is one heavy rifle.  I used a 375 H&H.  It performed flawlessly.   Before I went hunting I shot it around 300 times with a lot of field positions thrown into the mix.  A couple of months before I left for Africa I carried it on hikes of a couple of miles or so.  It did not weigh as much to me when I went hunting after I got used to it.  That was a CZ 375 in that warthog calling video.
