Accurate Encore
« on: October 01, 2005, 12:11:43 PM »
Well I am confused.   What is the easiest route to an accurate Encore Rifle in 270.  I would like at least 3 shot 1 inch groups at 100 yards.
When I hear reports of 3-5 inch groups I hesitate to take the plunge.
Any suggestions?    Is there a problem with the factory barrels or the frame or both?  Thank you for constructive suggestions.  John

I have 4 Encore frames and different barrels on them. My accuracy is great in all of them. I have had great success with Encore barrels. I have owned several different calibers and all shot well. I am sure you will get stories of people that have had problems, but that happens with most gun makers. There is not secret to getting a good barrel, just buy one and try it out.

I think some of the reports are mis-leading : Here is 20 rounds with my Encore - at 100 yards.
