Yes, two so far. One was a nearly perfect broadside shot behind the shoulder, through the lungs, and out the off shoulder. That one was about 30 yards or so, and the deer went about 20 yards before piling up.
The first one I killed with the Remington 158g SP in my Blackhawk pretty much just stood up on it's hind quarters, and fell over backwards, and never went anywhere.
I've killed a couple also with the 158g XTP-HPs, and the 158g XTP-FPs out of this revolver, with the velocity for both bullets running around 1300-1450 fps. The 158g XTP-HPs, when they do work, really can make a mess of the vitals, but if they fail, it usually means only a very nasty flesh wound on a deer. I've had the 158g XTP-HPs blow completey into fragments on a shoulder when fired from my rifle, and never even make it into the rib cage.
I know I might seem narrow minded to some, but the reason I preach about the Remington 158g SPs so much is because the consistantly work in either a revolver, or a rifle. The only other bullets I've tried that even come close are the 158g XTP-FPs(great in a revolver), but even they can sometimes over expand (shoulders) on a close shot from a rifle, and fail to penetrate enough to give an exit, which I very much want on a deer.
