Lloyd,

I use Hornady 38, 44, 45 and 30 gas checks but have never used lyman gas checks.  What don't you like about the lymans.

Thanks,

Turk

Veral used to make some 41 molds with a shank cut for the 416 check, and I offer 41 molds cut either way.  There is a difference in the shank size, 0.3975" for the Lyman and 0.393" for the Hornady 416, so you are going to be shaving lead if you try to force the 416 check onto a bullet that was cut for the Lyman 41 check.

I use Hornady .416 gas checks on bullets cast from a Ballisticast 265 grain WFN, and they fit very well.  The Lymans fall off.  I don't have any other .41gc moulds.

Lloyd says that the Lyman 41 gas checks will fit some of his .429" bullets.

yup I bought a box of them and the two gas check bullets I have are a lyman and a ballistic cast that I got from blade and the lymans fall off ususally right in the sizer. I tried them for **** and grins on a ballistic cast 340 lfn .429 bullet and they fit perfectly with finger pressure. I wont buy any more lyman gas checks for that matter Im done with all of lymans products!

Hey LLoyd, I have about 950 .416 checks that I can't get to work on my moulds.  Be willing to trade for a similiar number of .44 checks which I can get to work.

Hey MTNGUN - tell us more. Are you in the mold making business?  What calibers, weights features etc?
