Mortar and Cannon Shoot at Ft. Shenandoah
« on: September 22, 2005, 04:04:24 AM »
The Next N-SSA Mortar and Cannon Shoot at Ft Shenandoah is October 7 and 8th.

For those who don't know Ft. Shenandoah is just outside Winchester Virginia.

I am planning on going to the Mortar shoot on Friday and possibly the cannon shoot on Saturday.

This will be my last N-SSA shot before I move to South Africa. I hope as many of you as possible can get out for the shoot so I can meet you.

Oh ye of little faith, to find Martini's indeed.

My great sense of patriotism  and the fact that I am far to old and decrepit to go back on duty in the Marines, draws me to the Front line of defense to fight to keep terrorists from the homeland  by working on project in South Africa for U.S. Customs and Border Protection.

Don't buy that do you?  The folks at the office didn't either, they think I volunteered for the position so I could go hunting...you can hunt in South Africa?

We will be down  there for 2 years.  So everybody come out to Ft. Shenandoah to see me off!

DD,

What are you talking about, a Marine never gets old!!! You just end up looking old and decrepit soon after you join, but that's in the contract. Plus, there's nothing like black, 100wt motor oil style, re-heated coffee to get the bones lubricated at zero dark thirty in the morning.

Easy enough for you to say at 28. but at 58-old and decrepit

Be there or be square!

Sounds like a send-off / going-away party!

Time to look into import law on Martini's.

We will be there rain or shine!

There is likely to be a little, but having had experience of shooting in rain, it adds a bit of realism of the elements.

Saftey rules are right-much strict here.  It's in that closed wooden box WELL behind the firing line.  Might not be able to see it in the picture.
