Gonic barrel accuracy
« on: February 03, 2006, 07:57:23 AM »
I'm shooting 60-90gr Pyrodex RS with 10mm Hornady 180 Gr XTP bullets tucked into brown sabots in my 45cal 16" Gonic Arms barrel and getting 6-8" groups at 60 yrds.  Sometimes I get a bullet that hits a couple inches from a previous shot and then the next is 4-6" away.  I'm wiping the barrel out between shots.  I use a 1X Simmons scope.  I'm going to try a red dot and see if that helps.

I'm wondering if a heavier bullet or maybe a .401 diameter would be better.  Does anyone have any ideas on what works?  I'm trying not to invest a lot of dollars on a research project.

Thanks guys.
