Hi there, need some help. I've had an older contender pistol with .30-30 Win. barrel for about a year, really like it. Have just gotten an Encore rifle with camo stock and .280 rem. 24" SS barrel. Will put Leupold 4x12x50 scope on it. Question: what is my best bet for bases and rings for this set-up? Do the rifle barrels have the same hole spacing as the pistol barrels? Thanks for any advice, no need in me having to re-invent the wheel. Steve

Top of the line for Encores is Warne. Medium rings should fit a 50 mm scope.

I second the Warne mounts and rings.

The Encore rifle and pistol barrels are the same mount, the contender is different.

Thanks for the above advice. I think I'll go with the Warne Maxima stuff.Steve
