Something going on at H&R??- Never mind - I just got i
« on: October 08, 2005, 09:00:08 AM »
I'm wondering if anybody has any info about Customer Service at NEF. I sent them a receiver on 9/21, on 9/27 I phoned them to modify my order and they had the receiver and made the change I requested.

Yesterday, I noticed they had not yet charged my card so I sent them an email asking for the status.

Today I phoned and got a recording that office is currently closed (time was about 2:45 ET) and that their regular business hours are 8am - 4pm.

I'm puzzled. In the past I have received emails back within 24 hrs, and though I might be on hold for awhile if I phone, I've always managed to connect with a human during business hours.

Any info?

Cheers
Kerry :?

I just discovered it is Saturday!

That is why the office at NEF is closed!

No I don't imbibe too much  :drink4:

I just don't have a regular job. I work from home on phone and computer and because I had a couple of calls this morning I thought it was Friday!

Okay, I'm taking the rest of the day off... :agree:

Cheers

I used to think I would like the work-at-home thing but you have to be self motivating and get the work done.  I wouldn't do that well.

Talyhoe.

I like that! Best post today. You are simply working too hard.

Working to live is the way to go. Not live to work. Good for you to take the rest of the day off .

Tallyho whats the deal with New Mexico hunting regs. now? I was planning on muzzleloadeing hunting in Unit 30 and the lady for the state said I have to apply for a permit. If I understood her right the permit is $190. Do you still have to buy a tag also? Also when is the season in Unit 30?  Digger

I hate to say this, it might damage my image, but I actually don't work so much as I would if I had a 'real' job. Plenty of time to poke around on this (and other) gun sites. To tinker with my toys, etc.

Just happened that this morning I had a couple of calls from folks with problems that I was asked to sort out, and my brain just clicked into 'work' mode and I didn't pay much more attention for awhile.

That's why I figured I'd call NEF about my receiver and got the 'closed today' message. And thinking it was Friday, I got puzzled... I actually 'got' that it was Saturday while I was in the shower after posting the original to this thread. Felt like an idiot for awhile until I got out of the shower  !

Oh well at, least I provided some amusement for Fred. A small repayment for all the stuff you have provided the rest of us here Fred.

We are heading off in about an hour to the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta http://www.balloonfiesta.com/ to spend the rest of this Saturday. Have a look at the live cam on the site and see if you can pick me out in a couple of hours...  8) I'll wave to y'all when I see the camera pointed in my direction  :D

I'll make an effort tomorrow to remember it is Sunday, and probably go to the range in the afternoon to sight in a couple of new (to me) toys.

Have a great weekend guys.

Digger, sorry to say I haven't hunted for a couple of years, and won't be hunting this year, so I haven't even looked at the regs for awhile. I am afraid I can't answer your questions.

All I can suggest is the website for the state Game and Fish http://www.wildlife.state.nm.us/recreation/hunting/

I know jmckinley (see thread below on this forum "I'm Done"  http://www.graybeardoutdoors.com/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=73502) lives here and hunts regularly, but he's apparently left the forum.

Good Luck.
