I have the 1895GS. At first, I wanted a Limbsaver that was cut to size and didn't require gunsmithing......couldn't find one.
I ended up buying the slip-on pad. This works better than you'd expect because I now have TWO pads on my rifle.....the original, plus the Limbsaver. It adds about an inch to LOP, but I've found that to be no problem at all. (And probably won't be unless you have very short arms.) It really makes wimps out of hard kicking loads!
While I'd have to admit that a custom fit Limbsaver would be better for looks, I've grown accostomed to my slip-on, and don't give it a second thought anymore.
Unless Limbsaver has come out with the right size recently, you've got only two choices if you want a Limbsaver......grind to fit, and slip-on. (That is, if the 1895 and 1895GS have the same butt dimentions.....and I'm not sure they do.)
