cameron??
« on: February 02, 2006, 12:51:16 PM »
I have a cameron fishing pole it is 6'6" and is fast action and is a heavy duty rod. I put a ABU GARCIA reel on is(ambassedur 6000).

I mainly use it for catfish, pike.

My grandpa used to work with one of the family members that own cameron, so I got a  free rod. my grandpa says that the rods cost $150.00 A PICE!!!

I would like to know if this rod is good and if it is a good choice for cat's.
I have caught a couple nice 35lb flatheads with it, it worked fine

also I use 50lb test.

any info welcome.

Sounds like the rods made by Gary Cameron in Tulsa, Ok. He's out of business, has been for several years, but the rod is a good one.

They were pretty pricey when they were being made, which was several years ago, but they were guaranteed and were replaced for free..lot of good that is now huh?

I suppose you can use the rod for whatever you want, but seems they were made with bass in mind.
Hey, hold my beer and watch this.
