I can still deer hunt in Ohiotill Jan.30th.I may or may not but at least I know I can.I hunt all seasons and use a crossbow some.I'd like to thank Ohio for being smart enough to allow them and hope all other states follow.

I sure wish Penna. would follow suit. Our commission is in the dark ages. I have several friends that hunt Ohio and dont even bother hunting here anymore.

I hate to bring this up again, but since I am new here....... I live in Penn also and am very frustrated that we have tons of options and seasons, and our Game Commision is still biased towards Crossbows for the Archery season. This is just ridiculous!! Only physically disabled folkes can use them in the archery seasons, that is very cool, but come on, just because it looks like a gun, people think it shoots like a gun, wrong. I hope we get to use them very soon. I won`t buy a new one until it is leagal for me to use. Jack.

In Ohio bows & crossbows also get a couple extra weeks for fall turkey between the end of turkey gun season and the beginning of deer gun season.

This will be my last year to buy a PA license. We have better deer hunting here in Ohio than where I hunt in PA. Near Kane.

Arkansas was the second state i think to let you use a crossbow in archery season i think. We have been able to use one for a long time. Our season opens Oct 1st thru Feb 15 either sex. And you can turkey hunt from Oct. 1st thru Feb 15. limit 1 either sex. I used to hunt with a PSE Starfire 2 with a red dot i killed 11 deer 9 turkeys with it sold it. Bought a new Horton a new model the PSE was out of date. lol But man would it shoot good.
