:shock: When I learned the Pledge of Allegiance the words "under God" were not in it.  The phrase was added in the early 50s during the Cold War.  I don't remember, but I would bet we had a hard time adding it after learning it without "under God." :D  :D  :D

I stumbled on the later version a couple times...but still welcomed the change.

Don't give a flip when anything was added. I want and love to say the pledge. If you don't like me saying it you can kiss my you know what. Hell, I get offended when someone wants to stop me from my rights to say the pledge, show my pride in my country or wants me not to talk about my GOD. Never mind how pissed off I get when some folks ask me if I want English or some other language. Let me state it plain, this country was founded on the Ten commandments, GOD, English, and guts. I would have never guessed that a few pricks that got their feeling hurt would have run roughshod over the rest of us. We should be ashamed and mad as hell.
