Was sitting here surfing and checked on the index page. After TC handguns and bolt action rifles we ,CAS, are the 3rd most popular according to number of posts.
Cowboys are popular.

I wasn't lost, I was just lost. I got so fed up reading TOB as some like to call it, I quit going to any foums for a while. Then I decided you are all guys I have fun with so I just won't go there. No need to let them spoil my fun.

I figured out by myself it's The Other Board....sass wire. I guess that' right, if not I'm SOL.

The SASS Wire is in serious trouble, in my opinion. I hardly ever go there now. Just as an example as to why, someone posted a joke here in the Saloon. It was funny and several folks commented on that. Someone later posted the same joke over on the SASS Wire and all the comments save one were derisive and critical about it. IT was a JOKE! For the record, it was the "Liberal, Conservitive, or Texan joke." One posted about the bad choice of the firearm in the joke, others were along the same line. Every day there are attacks on folks. We moderators of the Cowboy forums are gonna have to keep a close check as the good folks begin to migrate over here. Eventually, the trolls and slammers are gonna get wind of this great site and start trouble. Cheyene Ranger does a great job up here, so I'm not too worried. And if all else fails, we can always sick the Marshal on 'em! :grin:

The other board ya say. Wal I wuz trying to make the name of a site out of it and fer the life of me couldn't. :-D I don't mind the mention of the name of the SASS Wire here even if they do over there. I don't consider my site in competition with any other out there. If they wish to that's fine but I don't.

We don't cater to trouble makers here and like to keep a friendly relaxed atmosphere. I think that's really what most folks want and for sure it's what the kinda folks I like to be around like. Folks who get their joys trying to cause trouble just aren't the kind I like to fool with. I've had to toss a few of those but for the most part the word is out that this isn't the place that kinda stuff is tolerated and that we like to be friendly and helpful and so they don't bother so much. If they do I'll jist arrest them and toss them in the hoosegol. :eek:

This board is what the SASS Wire used to be like, I check the goings on there ever now and then, but this is my home now, especially the BP forums. RR

Marshal,

This here place don' compete wif no other place! This here place is it's OWN place! Unique unto itself :-D

'S also unique because our CAS forums here are only a part of a great message board that is inclusive of multiple aspects of the shooting sports. I've seen a couple of other boards that have tried to add a CAS section to thier multi disciplene boards and they don't have nearly the CAS participation that has been attained here.
