charter pug 44??
« on: November 05, 2005, 02:14:54 PM »
im looking for something i can carry on me while riding my scoot
i want something small but powerful and stainless so it will stand up to the elements of the road without having to worry abt functioning when needed
i checked out a stainless charter pug in 44sp today and it looks pretty good i know they used to have questionable quality but seems i heard they tightened up at the factory as of late
anyways does anyone have any opinions good/bad on this particular gun
i know there is a million choices but i want something along the lines of the little revolver with the big hole
thanks

Loved the old Bulldogs! The only one I have had experience with was one a friend bought. Didn't shoot to point of aim and the cylinder locked up at around 30rds or so. He had it fixed and sold it. This was a year or so ago, don't know if the recent ones are any better or not. I believe Taurus makes a 44spl snubbie, may be a 3" barrel tho. Never owned a Taurus revolver, but might be tempted to look at one in 44spl.
