Reamer shipped to .308 on Friday.

.308, if you want the shipping number for tracking, PM me and I'll get it for you,

My guess is it'll be in your hands by Monday.

I might have used too much oil. If you need to re-fill the bottle, let me know and I'll scare some up and get it out...

Reamer seems to be in great shape. Nice even cuttings and no burrs in cut area. (this coming from someone who hasn't been in a machine shop since high school, 20 years ago)

H&R says they got my receivers on 9-22. Sent four for trigger jobs, one of which is getting a .357 mag barrel (soon to be a Max, the next reamer job). I should get to shoot the 445 soon. I figure at least within the next couple of weeks.
It only took all of about three minutes to ream mine. The cutters were good and sharp for mine.

O.K., if it don't show up by mid week then I may get that number from you. I have an almost full bottle of oil, I'll make sure there's enough in the bottle for Warf73 and Ed in AL when I ship it out to Warf.  8)

I'm thinking a 30-30AI conversion would be a good project.

I just got an email from the reamer folks telling me it's a do-it-yourself project. As of right now I've got myself talked into it. 8)

About 2 weeks and 100 bucks and you can have one.   Course then there's the brass, bullets, dies, scope, bases, and rings. Then there's powder and primers, trimmer pilots and shell holders. What did I forget? Oh yeah, boolit molds.  100 bucks is just a start. You know all this. Not meant to discourage, they're justifyable expenses. Least that's what I tell my better half when she asks where all the money went. Somehow I gotta convince her buying bulk surplus powder will save us money.

Sorry for the hang up.

I got the reamer Thursday but barrel didn't make it in until today.
But I got the job done in less than 20mins with my wife watching me :)
After I got done she said "Thats IT?"

The reamer will be sent out Tuesday morning to Ed in AL I've PMed him already.

Hi

My vote is for .30-30 AI.  I intended to make this conversion when the barrel arrived.  I have heard so much about the .30-30 I just had to shoot a few rounds.  I put off the rechamber.  I'm ready now.  If the reamer is ordered, I want on the list.  Just tell me how much $ I need to send off.

Take care and God bless.

Tom

I don't think one's been ordered. Don't know if there's enough interest here to do it. I can rent a reamer for 25 bucks and do it. I know I'm gonna do it either way. 8)
