Can anyone give me info about an old fishing rod I just picked up today?
It is a Bristol Square Steel Baitcasting fishing rod made by the Horton Manufacturing Company in Bristol Conn. It appears to be in fine condition considering its age. Overall it is about 4 feet long and has Red eyelets which may be Bakalite or Plastic. It also came with an original cloth sock with the company logo on it.
I would like to know approximately how old this thing is. I have found some websites which include general information about Horton/Bristol fishing equipment but nothing in depth about each model like year(s) of manufacture.
